So, our first stop when we got there was the famous Jagalchi fish market...I've never seen anything like it. From oysters to shark meat, it was there!! And so was the smell to go along with it!!
Are you hungry yet?
Here's the money shot!! hehe Octopus is eaten everywhere out here....nothin like buying it fresh, right?
Now, only Koreans could make a bridge like this....*L* This should be on one of those mass e-mail's that go around with funny pics in it!
Here we are posing at the pier near the fish market. It was a beautiful view...
So, this older man LOVED Sebastien! He was in the Koren War and spoke pretty good english. He entertained us for quite some time!
A nice view from the pier...
There were many boats to take pictures of....
This was the indoor part of the fish market...
Think they know they're gonna get eaten? Hmmmm....
Isn't this crazy? It went on like this for what seemed like miles! And the smell made me wanna hurl *L* I'm such a prairie girl....
Man, those would HURT to eat!!
This is the Tower of Busan at Mt. Youngdu Park....very popular tourist attraction (as you can see). U take an elevator to the top and look at the spectacular view of the city.
And here's he pics from the top of it!!
Happy Birthday Sebastien!! hehehe We went for coffee to this cute little coffee shop and they had this hat we had to borrow for a couple pics. He had a good day :o)
After coffee, we met up with an old counselor from our school who got transfered to Busan and went shopping in the local markets!! It was cool, and we even saw a famous Korean actor that everyone was going crazy over *L*
So, we took this double decker bus tour around Busan all Sunday afternoon. It goes to many destinations and you can get off whenever you want....another bus will be at the same spot in 1 hours time to pick up whoever is there. It was great and we always seemed to get the back of the bus....don't we look happy?!
A cool pic of the subway coming to get us!
Watch out Todd!! The subway doesn't stop for hitchhikers...sorry dude!
Here we are with our old counselor Kate. She's such a sweetie and was sooo emberassed when we wanted her pic in the middle of the street!! She said "Us Koreans don't take pictures in the middle of the street"...and I opened MY big mouth and said "well, us foreigners DO!" HEHE She shut up and took the pic.
A stop on our tour was the ever so famous Haeundae Beach. What a beautiful place where we splashed in the water and enjoyed the sand.
Do we look like tourists or what?!
Party ship!! Gotta do that next time we go!
Our last stop on the Bus tour was this pretty cool 2.4km hike down to a cliff where you could take awesome pictures. It was a long way down, and a longer way back up! When you start, you take this trolly up the mountain and get off at your destination...ours was this place, which I'm not sure of the name...
Cheese Kari!! Lemme tell you, that's a fake smile as those rocks hurt my ass!! hehehe
You see those specs over there? That's us!! It was VERY windy, so I'm always hangin onto my hat...
So, over this cliff, there was a tent set up where all the ajumas (older working women AKA tough Korean bitches *L*) were working! It was pretty chilly and windy and water was splashing everywhere on them!
A better pic of more ajumas working away...
A point of interest to stop on your trek down the mountain...It was really pretty
After an action packed 36 hours, we retired to the bus station for a relaxing 4 hour trip back home. Here's Busan train station at night...
Inside the KTX train...it was pretty spacious and comfy!! I had no complaints...
Here's Seoul Station when we got back home. It was after midnight so it was pretty dead...this is actually the most dead anyone will EVER see it!!
The never-ending subway station walk to the outside world....
So, we had a wonderful trip and I hope you enjoyed the pics. If I ever get my pictures working from my memory card I will be sure to post extra pics I took.
Love and miss you all very much....talk to you soon!!
Luv Kari
