I FINALLY moved my bed upstairs!! (This one's for you Kevin *L*)

Here's a view of my living room area from near the kitchen and bathroom. As you can see, the one couch is kindof covered with a yellow sheet as it's really dirty and I have to clean it good. It's really comfy though. The other couch looks nicer, but it's not as comfy. I inherited that beautiful glass table also, which goes well in my opinion!

I moved over my dresser drawrs and made way for the IKEA TV stand and other television. I only need cable now to sit and watch some crazy Korean TV! When I do, I'm gonna get a splitter to have cable upstairs and downstairs....I'm geting hooked up out here!

Here's an "ariel" view of the living room area *L* I coud get everything in one shot here...

Here's a picture of my new bedroom!! It's comfy and spacious, I just have to crouch down when I walk as the ceiling is very short up here. Some other teachers wake up in their bed and smack their head!! *L* Lucky I'm short....

And the last pic from the other side of my bed.... You can see the landing where it overlooks my new livingroom area. I have to do something with the other TV up here. Until then, it's just sitting in the middle of the floor *L*

So, the time came for me to move my bed upstairs into my loft and have my own bedroom...finally! I have accumulated enough furniture from people leaving that it was possible to make a living room. From other teachers leaving, I now have 2 couches, 2 televisions (one for upstairs hehe), 2 tables, and an IKEA TV stand! I also have a rice cooker and a computer stand comin in the next while. It's gonna be great passing this all down when I leave, and yes May, I'll pass on my fish instead of flushing them :o).

I really like having my own room now seperate form everything else. It's darker in the morning , but a pain when I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night! hehe Me and my small bladder....

Enjoy the pics, and I'll hopefully have some more comin in the next little while. Keep checking back to see!! Love and miss you all....

Over the last couple weeks....

HAHAHAHA!!! So, Friday night after galby we decided to hit up the Noribong again! Man, it's so fun and you sing songs you completely forgot even existed!
Here Todd, Jamie and Sebastien are singing....."Everybody" by the Backstreet Boys!!! Yes, it was my pick. They did an outstanding job though and even included actions throughout *L*
I wish I would have used my video footage on my camera, damn!!

Here I am looking.....Ummmmm....confused? I'm not sure what I'm singing, but Monique just went camera happy taking pictures *L*

Woah Jamie, got that look off of your face!! *L* This is Steph and Jamie (they're married) and they put on a great show for us with "Hit the Road Jack". They each took a part and included actions also, it was good!

Anyone want to enjoy a Korean Coca Cola? *L* As I said, Monique went camera happy and I thought it looked neat, and kinda creepy with Jamie in the background!

So, let me explain here. This is my youngest class I have at Yes Youngdo and we were having a lesson on learning clothes. They were having trouble with shorts and deciphering skirts from dresses.....SO, I decided to bring a suitcase full of my clothes and let them have a little game with them. Who could have the most pieces of clothing on them by the end!! It was a riot and I HAD to take pictures of them. Kristin...if you see any of your clothes....it is just a figment of your imagination, and keep on scrolling down *L* They were truly amazed at how "big" my clothes were. Those little jerks!! hehehe

The boys had a little trouble wearing their "girl teachers" clothes, so they were obsessed with my mitts Kelly got my for Christmas (the big green from ones).

So, in the end, I made them all pose for a picture all dressed up. The girl on the far right, Grace won...I think she had like 12 articles on or something...she was a REAL fighter! And I swear I didn't get them to all give the "peace sign". They just do it naturally when there's a camera pointing at them!! Aren't they cute?

So, can you tell I miss my dog and cat a little? I really needed to get myself a pet, as I have had one my whole life. It was kinda weird not having to look after something, or being able to talk to something that doesn't talk back to you. How perfect fish are! They just swim all day and keep themselves occupied....perfect for my who if not home the majority of the time. And yes, they sit and listen to me talk WITHOUT talking back, I love them!

When I first got the fish, I got 4 of them. 3 are the same, and this guy was the "ugly duckling". He was bigger then the rest and stuck out bigtime at the store, so I HAD to get him.

Well, it turns out that we think the other 3 picked on him so badly that he starved himself and died! So, this is a little tribute to him and his short little time as my pet.

Goodbye fishie and sorry I had to flush you so soon!!! hehehehe I'm a loser.

Rain, rain, GO AWAY!!

Here I am, with my new best friend.....my umbrella!! It has been raining for the past few days and my hair is NOT liking it one bit. We went to Insadong today (Monique and I) and did some shopping and got nice and wet. It was a nice day, even if we had to spend a couple hours commuting on a stinky, muggy subway with many, many Koreans who don't wear deodorant *L* EEEEwwwww!!

Here's a cool part of Insadong with an Austin Mini on a roof with a Korean flag on the top. I thought it was pretty funny. See all the umbrella's? They are actually a hot comodity out here! You see all different kinds, and they are a fashion statement. It rains all the time, especially during typhoon season, so people have many. I'm really getting sick of seeing fake Burberry umbrellas!! *L*

Here's Monique sporting her beautiful smile!! We are at the same place I had in pictures before. Except, before there were many umbrellas hanging from the roof, this time there are HUGE traditional Korean dresses. I guess they change the amosphere! It's kinda funny.

So, on my day off on Thursday, we went int o Seoul and it was crazy, crazy busy. The worst I've seen it yet. Everyone had the day off, so thre were millions of people out. You literally couldn't stop, or you'd get trampelled. So, from the ninth floor of a shopping center, I took this picture of down below Yo don't get the full effect though of the people. It was a bad angle, but u can see the stadium where there is a big Korean flea market inside. It was pretty amazing in there, and could find anything you pretty much wanted. I wish I would have gotten a better picture, oh well!

I just had to let everyone know, that there is some normality out here *L* Yes, I went to Costco to prepare for my dinner party last weekend. It was great to see normal food like cheese and honey mustard pretzels! We're going back after payday to go nuts....well, only as nuts as out backpacks will let us carry *L*

My first time at the Noribong!!

Here I am with my little tambourine! hehe I swear I never put it down the whole 2 hours...and I believe someone had to rip it outta my hands when we left! Note to self Kari...it does NOT sound good with EVERY song we sing, even though you thought it did.

I told you I didn't put the tambourine down the whole night *L*. Shit, the hot Korean girl behind me kinda takes away from my beautiful smile!! hahaha

Okay, so Monique and I both dominated the tambourines all night....and the microphones, kinda. We're bad and I can't believe the guys put up with us!! *L* Doesn't she look sooo happy?

Now, I WISH I knew what note Todd was singing here!! But guessing by the position of his tonsils, I bet it was a Prince song that we had to turn off as we couldn't handle Todd's "attempt" to sing it!! No offence Todd....

*L*

Here's Todd Monique Jamie, and Sebastien singin their little hearts out. It was SO much fun and I can't wait to do it again!

So, the Noribong, as you have probably guessed is kareokee....with a twist though. You get to rent your own room and pick your own songs. You get a server who keeps re-filling your snacks and drinks, and you pick all your own songs and stop and start them when you want.
You don't have to worry about listening to that dreadful old man crooning to a really bad Tom Jones song, or a bunch of girls at a going away party belting out Spice Girls "Wannabe" *L* Yes, that was a crack at myself.
They are REALLY popular in Korea and can be found at every corner.
We sang everything from Bon Jovi, to Chumbawumba, More Than Words (Extreme) and....are you ready for this? Puff the Magic Dragon!! This was my pick if you hadn't guessed it yet...
I just had an awesome time and can't wait to go again!
